Currently we are focussing on empowering the local community with three projects.

Sewing Machines-

  • Women are going to be learning how to make quits using local  materials, hand bags,  outfits, for children/ vulnerable, men and women, curtains, Bedspreads and sheets. Currently we have just started and we need about 20-30 Sewing machines.

I  sewing machines in Zambia is about K400,000 approximately $100 US dollar

30 Sewing Machine multiply by $ 100 US= $3000

  • One sewing machine will be used to train about 5 women.  therefore if we get about 30 of them, then we will be reaching the 150 women in  every 9 months. from every village to empower them economically and with a life time skills to be passed on to their grandchildren.

Literacy for Women and Children -

  • We are lookig for  Reading and Writing books for Children to learn in a community atmosphere. Reading and writing is a need for both Women and children in rural Zambia. Used and New books are always welcome, pencils, chalk, markers, crayons, toys, etc, volunteers needed to teach

Craft and Music:

  • Buya Village Foundation want to continue to promote Music and Art as a way of Expression and preservation of culture. More Funding is needed to buy the craft material and for marketing to the public, transportation, shelter where the crafthas  to be sold. Volunteers needed for skills exchange.
